Allen Engineering and Science, Inc. hosted a wine tasting at the office — but with a twist. Our resident geologist and amateur wine connoisseur, Andrew Williams, GIT, educated us on Terroir (aka how soil, climate, and topography shape the taste of wine).

Turns out, geology isn’t just for fieldwork — it’s for flavor. From limestone to lava flows, Andrew showed how the ground beneath the grapes makes all the difference.
