Jay Estes, AICP with AllenES gave an update of the MS DMR’s Coastal Mississippi Hazard Risk and Disaster Recovery Analysis project at the GOMA Mid-Year Virtual Conference on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. This initiative will serve as the foundation for a future Mississippi Gulf Coast Resilience Master Plan.

Allen Engineering and Science, Inc. natural resource scientists attended a bat survey workshop organized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). The workshop provided training and field demonstrations related to bat identification and survey techniques. There are currently three species of bats in Mississippi listed under the Endangered Species Act which require consultation for federally-funded projects. 🦇
