2022 MDEQ Restoration Summit
Will Pentecost, P.E. and Brad Young, CWB participated in the MDEQ Restoration Summit on November 10, 2022. AllenES provided project details regarding the on-going NFWF funded Beneficial Use of Dredge Material for Coastal Restoration project and the Restore funded Beach Stormwater Outfalls Restoration project. Both projects are located in coastal Mississippi.
WTS Cultivating Partnerships 1st Annual Event
The MS Women in Transportation Cultivating Partnerships event was held on November 10, 2022 at The District’s Cultivation Food Hall. Melissa Pringle, Ph.D. and Rick Sumrall, P.E. of Allen Engineering and Science, Inc. joined others in the Jackson area for the first annual event.
Presentations at the Southeastern Water Pollution Biologists Association Meeting
On October 26, AllenES partners Brad Young, CWB and Will Pentecost, P.E. presented at the Southeastern Water Pollution Biologists Association meeting in Gulfport, MS. Mr. Pentecost presented the Beach Outfall Pilot Project which is designed to treat stormwater runoff for litter and other pollutants before reaching the Mississippi Sound. Mr. Young co-presented with Scott Lemmons, Director of Freshwater Programs for the Nature Conservancy about the Loch Leven Island Floodplain Reconnection project in Wilkinson County, Mississippi.
