🌅 Q3 Economic Outlook Breakfast – Madison County Business League & Foundation

Allen Engineering and Science, Inc.‘s Melissa Gordon Pringle, Ph.D. attended the Q3 Economic Outlook Breakfast hosted by the Madison County Business League & Foundation.
The event featured Haley Fisackerly, President & CEO of Entergy Mississippi, who shared updates on key infrastructure and energy projects across Madison County and the state of Mississippi. Joseph Deason, Executive Director of Madison County Economic Development Authority, also provided an overview of current industry recruitment efforts.

🌟 Highlights from the 2025 SWANA Regional Conference! 🌟

Allen Engineering and Science, Inc. solid waste engineers, Michael Hohm, P.E. and Justin Hill, attended the first regional conference since 2013, hosted by the Mississippi “Magnolia” chapter and joined by Alabama, Arkansas, and Georgia chapters. It was a fantastic opportunity for networking, learning, and sharing innovative ideas in solid waste management.

Thank you to Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) and all participating chapters for this impactful event!

🌟 Allen Company’s Annual Fish Fry: A Reel Success! 🌟

Allen Engineering and Science, Inc. team came together to celebrate another year of hard work and dedication at our annual fish fry. It was a fantastic time filled with laughter, delicious food, and a bit of friendly competition.

🎉 Highlights:

Whiffle Ball Madness: Our ultra-competitive Whiffle Ball game saw limited injuries (thankfully!), but plenty of fun and excitement.

Special Thanks: A huge shoutout to Justin Hill and his family for providing all the supplies and cooking up a storm for us. Your efforts made the event truly memorable!

Josh Eisenhauer, P.E. attended the Pensacola Perdido Bay Estuary Program Management Conference to learn insightful updates on the program’s annual report and the latest developments in monitoring marine life, water quality, and more within the bay and its estuaries.
Key highlights included:

Monitoring Marine Life & Water Quality: Comprehensive updates on efforts to preserve and enhance the health of our bays and estuaries.

Santa Rosa County Land Development Standards: Insightful breakout sessions on the latest updates and standards for land development in Santa Rosa County.

Perdido Suns Program: Introduction to the new “Scaling Up Nature-based Solutions” initiative, aimed at promoting resilience through nature-based solutions.

Community Grant Programs: Information on various grant opportunities available to support local community projects.

Planning Asset Valuation: Discussions on effective methods for valuing planning assets to ensure sustainable development.

🏢 One Voice of Business Across MS 🎉

Melissa Gordon Pringle, Ph.D. attended the Annual Mississippi Economic Council meeting on April 17, 2025. A Mississippi Business Alliance Initiative was announced to align similar but separate business organizations in Mississippi. This effort will empower businesses to have one voice across the state. Allen Engineering and Science, Inc. is supportive of this initiative and excited to be a part of the next chapter!
